Grooming Rule Book

At N.I.H.M, we believe that grooming plays a vital role in the professional development of our students. Grooming not only enhances personal appearance but also reflects a high level of professionalism and respect for others. This rule book aims to provide guidelines for appropriate grooming standards that all students must adhere to during their time at the institute.

General Guidelines:

Personal Hygiene:

Maintain good personal hygiene by taking regular showers, brushing your teeth, and using deodorant.
Keep your nails clean and trimmed, and avoid excessive use of nail polish or accessories.
Wear clean and fresh-smelling clothes every day.

Dress Code:

Black Trousers, White Shirt with Full Sleeves and Uniform Tie- These are the general Dress code for all our students for male & female both. Both can use Black Formal Blazer during winter & any event.
Students must follow the prescribed dress code as specified by the institute. Dress professionally and appropriately for all classes, practical sessions, and events.
Avoid wearing revealing, offensive, or inappropriate attire that may offend or distract others.
Always tuck in your shirt & avoid rolling your sleeves. Maintain a neat and well-ironed appearance.

Footwear:

Oxford black office shoes with less & Black Socks.

Hair and Facial Grooming:

Keep your hair clean, well-groomed, and neatly styled.
For male students, ensure that facial hair is clean-shaved & well-maintained.
Female students should avoid excessive or distracting hairstyles and use appropriate hair accessories.

Makeup and Jewellery:

Use minimal and natural-looking makeup that enhances your features without being excessive or distracting.
Keep jewellery simple and avoid wearing large, noisy, or ostentatious accessories that may hinder your performance or distract others.

Personal Fragrances:

Use perfumes, colognes, or scents in moderation, ensuring they are not overpowering or offensive to others.
Some individuals may have allergies or sensitivities, so be mindful of others when using personal fragrances.

Consequences of Non-Compliance:

Non-compliance with the grooming guidelines may result in the following consequences:

• Verbal or written warnings
• Temporary restrictions or suspension from certain activities
• Disciplinary action, including probation or expulsion, based on the severity and repetition of the offence.
