Bachelor in Hotel Management
Like any other Bachelor program, students will get a Graduate degree after they complete the Bachelor Hotel Management Program. The Degree will be awarded by the University as per UGC norms and will be recognized all over the world and also be valid for higher studies. The program is divided into six semesters, where five semesters for on-campus studies and one semester for compulsory Industrial Training.
Course Focus
The main focus of the Hotel Management Degree program will be to incorporate the key skills and attitude development among the learners and thereby motivating them to become future leaders of Hospitality industry. Beside the core subjects, like Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, Front Office Operation and House Keeping Operations a student will learn subjects from, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Finance, Costing, Operations, Psychology and Information Technology during there Bachelor studies at NIHM.

Craftsman Training Program
Since 1960 onward, a number of hotel schools have been established in the country, to cater the need of Indian Hotel industry. But, unfortunately, these colleges have shown there exclusive emphasis, on higher education segment only and completely ignored the bottom line employees segment. Hence, in every year a lot of Hotel management graduates have been coming out from these existing hotel schools. These graduates can fill the gap managerial positions but with the gap in proper education at the bottom line of the industry, the whole system cannot work.
Actually, we don’t need any expert of to make us understand, that, every industry require maximum staff strength at the bottom and then at its middle level and least on top. Thus, with the present hotel education system in Indian, hotel industry is really apprehensive to find the trained manpower to fill huge staff gap at the bottom and lower middle level of the staff hierarchy.
In order to maintain the parity of the Indian education system and the actual requirement of the hotel industry, the “Ministry of Skill Development, Govt. of India” has directed the Director General of Employment & Training to develop the course syllabus and guidelines for the entry level staffs of the hotel industry. Following the guideline set by DGET, the “National Council Vocational Training”, the apex body under Ministry of Skill Development, Govt. of India has designed the course curriculum for Hotel Trade Craftsmanship program in Indian as well as global context. NCVT has therefore, designed its CTS courses for all the functional areas of Hotel Operation where formal training is required. The course module for has been designed based of different designations; such as, Hotel Front Office Assistant, Housekeeper, General Food Production with Bakery and Food & Beverage Service Assistant.
Craftsman Food Production General
Course Focus
The main focus of the Craftsman Food Production General program will be to incorporate the key skills and attitude development among the learners for the team work and inter department coordination and thereby motivating them to become the Master Chef of Hotel and Hospitality jobs. This course is a specialised program to train the students to prepare food of different cuisine. Students of the course are trained with the given curricula designed by NCVT to prepare Indian, Regional, Chinese, Continental and Bakery items.

Craftsman Food and Beverage Service
Course Focus
The focus of Craftsman Food and Beverage Service is to have a direct interface with the customer when they visit a hotel. Hotels or hospitality organizations can earn money from selling food, renting rooms and also from the sales of various services to their guests. Guest service staff are involved in all operating areas from where the income is generated for the organizations. They are posted in Restaurants, Coffee shops, Bars, Banquets, Room Service and in many other areas to sell food, and beverages and also provide many other services that the guest want from them.

Every hotel requires a maximum number of Food & Beverage staff to run their business. In common practice, there should be at least 5 Food & Beverage staff in the hotel against one Food Production staff. Craftsman Front Office Assistant
Course Focus
The course- Craftsman Front Office Assistant- trains a candidate to handle the responsibilities as the face of an organization.
